WORK

Why did you pick No Limit Agency as the next stop in your career?

After nearly five years of writing for local newspapers and international magazines, I was ready for a change. I approached my job search with an open mind, but there was one criteria — I wanted to continue telling people’s stories. That’s when I came across No Limit Agency. This was a company fueled by the belief that brands don’t sell brands—people do. I had the chance to make a living doing what I love every single day, and that’s telling people’s stories.

What do you love most about working at No Limit Agency?

You will not find a more passionate group of people than you will here at No Limit Agency. The
energy in our office is infectious, and it inspires me every day. It pushes you to want to try harder and to give everything your all, no matter the task at hand.

What do you wish the outside world would think about No Limit Agency?

We’re not your typical PR agency. We’re not afraid to think outside the box; to disrupt; and
to find new, creative and innovative ways to get a brand’s story told. And we have a lot of fun while doing it, too.

What has been your proudest moment at No Limit Agency?

Watching—and contributing to—1851’s incredible evolution over the past year makes me proud to be a part of such an important publication. But it’s the individual stories within this platform that remind me why I do what I do every day. Getting an interview with the founder of Bumble was a big win for me—it showed that we’re capable of broadening our reach, and it helped to position 1851 as a force to be reckoned with in the business and franchise publication world.

In what ways will No Limit Agency become the greatest mid-sized agency ever?

Our fearlessness; our unrelenting drive; and our acceptance of change and disruption will continue to separate No Limit Agency from the rest of the pack. Nobody does storytelling, content marketing and PR the way No Limit Agency does, and nobody cares about their clients in the way No Limit Agency does. It won’t be long until the rest of the world notices.

Who have been influential in your life and why?

My dad has been both a calming and inspiring force in my life. Through sheer hard work and
dedication, I’ve watched him work his way up to where he is today—in so many ways, he truly has lived out the American Dream. He’s done all of this with an incredibly humble and selfless attitude, and he’s remained calm and poised throughout it all—even in difficult times. My work ethic and my drive wouldn’t be what it is today if it weren’t for him.

Outside of work, what do you like to do?

You will not find a more passionate group of people than you will here at No Limit Agency. The
energy in our office is infectious, and it inspires me every day. It pushes you to want to try harder and to give everything your all, no matter the task at hand.

Drink or food of choice?

Any kind of Southern-inspired BBQ—hands down (with mac and cheese and collard greens, of course). My boyfriend is easily the best pit-master in Chicago, so that’s why I keep him around.

What is the best gift you ever received for your birthday?

Last year, my boyfriend signed me up for a one-on-one tango class. I’m a terrible dancer,
awkward and horribly uncoordinated, but I never laughed harder in my life that day. Being spun around by an Argentinian dance instructor wasn’t so bad, either.

If there was one brand you would love to work with, which one and why?

The One Off Hospitality Group in Chicago. Everything those folks touch turns to gold (Avec, The Publican, Violet Hour, Nico Osteria, Big Star). They have an impeccable understanding of what makes an unforgettable restaurant experience.
