Why did you pick No Limit Agency as the next stop in your career?

After spending nearly 15 years inside television and newspaper newsrooms across the country and internationally, storytelling became not just a passion of mine, but a part of my professional identity. But, increasingly, the stories I was telling on a daily basis left me feeling unfulfilled, because I felt like I rarely got a chance to really make a positive difference in someone’s life. No Limit Agency fills that need for me. Each day, I get to work with a team telling the stories of driven, entrepreneurial, inspirational franchisees, franchisors and business professionals, from founders to lowest level employees whose lives have been changed by the goals they’re working to achieve. The focus on finding those stories—and putting them in front of the masses at the highest levels–sets No Limit apart, and I feel privileged to be able to work with such an amazing team to tell them. Joining that mission was the easiest decision I ever made.

What do you love most about working at No Limit Agency?

The ability to positively impact our clients at a high level. Each day, I arrive inspired by the creative people I work with and the passionate clients I have. It’s incredibly rewarding to create something impactful as a team and then celebrate the big wins we create together.

What do you wish the outside world would think about No Limit Agency?

I hope people see our agency as a custom-made solution to help them grow and achieve the next level of success. I hope they see that definition fitting into far more than just the traditional box of PR. Our agency crafts solutions on so many different fronts for so many different brands in a wide variety of industries, whether that’s high impact earned media placements or writing projects that people think of as “traditional PR,” or digital projects, advertising, graphic design work or customized content marketing through platforms like 1851 Franchise and Estate Envy. The beauty of our model is that it’s based around flexibility. With each client, our team is empowered to find the best possible approach to make the most positive impact possible.

What has been your proudest moment at No Limit Agency?

Within the first 60 days of joining No Limit Agency, I had already made significant business development impacts for several of our clients, placing them on national television on CNBC and in thousands of newspapers across the country through Associated Press and Bloomberg syndicated stories. Watching the impact and growth opportunities that those media placements create makes all of the hard work behind them incredibly rewarding. Having the ability to now help lead others on our team to those same impact moments has continued renewing that reward.

In what ways will No Limit Agency become the greatest mid-sized agency ever?

The Three P’s: personnel, placements and personalization. The people behind our agency will always be the biggest driver behind our success, but we also need a clearly defined, tried and true business model to help achieve that success. That’s where the placements come in. After nearly a decade of perfecting the business model behind No Limit, we know the secret sauce of achieving high-level placements: by establishing strong relationships with key media players and presenting them with impactful stories that they feel not just an interest to tell, but a need to tell. The final element is personalization. By customizing solutions to each of our clients’ individual needs, we provide a personalized service above and beyond what other agencies can offer.

Who have been influential in your life and why?

It would be short sighted to single out any member of my immediate family, because they’ve all had an amazing impact on making me who I am today. Watching my parents dedicate their lives to making their children successful has inspired a strong work ethic in me. Seeing my siblings achieve success through the same hard work has been equally rewarding. And, my wife’s support has been the biggest driver of my success in both my professional and personal life. She keeps me grounded and focused and makes me a better person (and probably a slightly larger person—she’s a fantastic cook!).

Outside of work, what do you like to do?

After a decade fostering a sedentary lifestyle, I rediscovered my love for running about five years ago. Since then, I’ve completed three marathons, eight half marathons and dozens of other races, many in partnership with charities I love. The time I spend on the lakefront trail in Chicago each week helps keep me sane and happy. Outside of that, I honestly love just spending time with my wife exploring the amazing city we live in.

Drink or food of choice?

Pizza. There’s an endless supply of the best pizza the world has to offer right at our doorstep in Chicago. (see above on expanding waistline, reasons for running and time spent outside work)

What is the best gift you ever received for your birthday?

It wasn’t necessarily a birthday gift, but my parents’ gift of sending me to London to study when I was in college is probably the best gift I ever received. The staggering cost, and the fact that they didn’t ever hesitate for a second not to sacrifice to make it happen, still floors me to this day.

If there was one brand you would love to work with, which one and why?

Subway. Go big or go home. Subway has established, arguably, the most successful franchise system ever, built on decades of perfection from one of the industry’s most successful founders, Fred DeLuca. Getting a chance to partner with such a success story and take advantage of the decades of wisdom from the team he created would be both professionally and personally rewarding.
